SUMMER CAMP LEADERS

Free bike park membership and $500 to $1000 per week.

​

Requirements for this position include prior experience in leading young groups in recreational activities, particularly in a supervisory capacity, and riding BMX or Mountain Bikes at a confident level at a street park or mountain terrain. Alternatively, a comparable blend of training and experience will be considered. 

​

Any background in coaching, camp counseling, leading Scouts or Guides, tutoring, or volunteering in recreation or childcare leadership will be viewed as advantageous. This presents an excellent opportunity for individuals dedicated to recreation, possessing a strong passion and enthusiasm along with robust leadership skills.

Responsibilities for Youth Camp Leaders at North Shore Bike Park:​

​

  • Manage and encourage children aged 6 to 12 with a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for participants accommodating all skill levels.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, adhering to established safety protocols and risk management practices.

  • Handle necessary administrative tasks, including attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation.

  • Develop and implement new ideas for enhancing the camp programs.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.

  • Current first aid certifications are an asset but not a hard requirement as park staff do carry suitable first aid certifications.

All Leaders committing to at least one week of Full Day leadership receive

  • A 3 month pass to the park!

Committing to 2 or more weeks of Full Days receives a 6 MONTH PASS!
