Kids Birthday Party Cost, Compared

Planning a party and wondering what the kids birthday party cost in Maple Ridge really adds up to? We checked the published party packages from bowling alleys, play centres, climbing gyms and more, then did the math. Most packages are priced per kid for about two hours. At North Shore Bike Park, one flat price covers every guest for the whole day.
Kids birthday party cost in Maple Ridge: the quick answer
Our weekday party is $249 and our weekend party is $279, plus tax. That includes 8 all-day passes, a private party room for 3 hours, and no minimum number of kids. Every extra guest is $29.99 for the entire day.
The other packages we looked at run from about $170 to $370 for eight kids, and most of them cover 1.5 to 2.5 hours. So our sticker price sits in the middle of the pack, but the time you get is not even close.

Cost per kid, per hour: where it gets interesting
Divide any party price by the hours and the picture changes fast. Our park hours this fall and winter are weekdays 4pm to 10pm (6 hours) and weekends 9am to 10pm (13 hours), and every party guest has an all-day pass. Here is what our party works out to:
Weekday party: about $31 per rider, or $5.19 per rider for every hour of riding.
Weekend party: about $35 per rider, or $2.68 per rider for every hour of riding.
And here is the same math on the packages we found, using each venue's own published price and party length, with a full group:
Bowling alley: $21 per kid for 2 hours, about $10.50 per hour.
City rec centre: $20.83 per kid for 2 hours, about $10.42 per hour.
Arcade and pizza chain: $21.67 per kid for 2 hours, about $10.83 per hour.
Indoor playgrounds: $26.99 to $27.99 per kid for about 2.5 hours, or $10.80 to $11.20 per hour.
Indoor play park with go-karts and laser tag: $29.50 to $32 per kid for 2 hours, or $14.75 to $16.00 per hour.
Climbing gym: $46.25 per kid for 2.5 hours, about $18.50 per hour.
Kids' gym: $31.50 per kid for 1.5 hours, about $21 per hour.
That makes a party at North Shore Bike Park roughly 2 to 8 times cheaper per hour. Prices are as published on each venue's website on October 9, 2026. Some include tax and some do not, so treat these as close comparisons rather than exact ones.
Nobody has to leave when the party room time ends
Most party packages run on a clock. Your play time ends, you clear out, and the next group moves in. We do it differently. Your party room is yours for 3 hours, and you can usually get in about 30 minutes early to set up if the room is free. But the riding never stops.
Every guest has an all-day pass, so they can show up before the party even starts, ride between cake and presents, and keep riding long after the candles are blown out. Of everything we checked, we did not find another local party where the price includes a full day of play for every guest.
Here is another way to see it. Eight child day passes at the door cost $199.92. A party adds a private room for 3 hours for about $49 on a weekday and $79 on a weekend.
Kids, grown-ups and group size
Kids included: 8 riders, with no minimum.
Grown-ups: Any adults attending the birthday party are free of charge. Only guests who are riding on the terrain need a day pass.
Extra guests: $29.99 for the whole day. Other venues charge up to $46 per extra child for an hour or two.
Big group? Our Rad Room seats up to 24 and includes 16 riders for $549, which is about $34 per rider for the entire day.
Outside food: Welcome, with no fee, and we have a fridge and a freezer for the ice cream cake. One playground charges $75 to bring in your own food, and two other venues do not allow outside food at all, except for the cake.
Goodie bags: Every guest gets 10% off their own birthday party and day passes.
All ages, and all indoors
Most party venues are built for one narrow age band. A city rec centre party, for example, is designed for ages 6 to 10, or 8 to 12. Our park suits riders of all ages, from toddlers to adults. There is a zone just for the little shredders, a pump track and jump lines for the older kids, and plenty of adults celebrate their birthdays here too.
It is all indoors, so a rainy Saturday does not cancel anything, and nobody has to dress for the weather. Last season, 1,322 kids celebrated their birthdays here across 140 parties, and we hold a 4.8-star rating on Google.
What to budget on top
A fair comparison counts what is not in the price, so here it is.
Food: We do not include a meal. Our famous Rad Dogs start at $3.72 plus tax, or bring your own pizza and cake.
Rentals: If your guests need a bike or scooter, party rentals are $20 for the whole day, helmets included. Or bring your own.
Now the worst case. Say all 8 kids rent a bike and every one of them has a Rad Dog. A weekday party comes to about $439 before tax, or $9.14 per kid per hour. A weekend party comes to about $469, or $4.51 per kid per hour. Even then, the weekday is still under the lowest per-hour price we found, and the weekend is less than half of it.
