RC Crawler Rental in Maple Ridge: Drive Trucks Over Our Crawler Tables
RC crawler rental has arrived in Maple Ridge, and it is more addictive than it looks. At North Shore Bike Park you can now rent a remote-control crawler truck by the hour and drive it over our RC crawler tables, a simulated off-road terrain course built for exactly this. Crawlers are not about speed. They are slow, high-torque little trucks that climb over rocks, ledges and anything else in their way, so the fun is in picking your line, trusting your throttle and not tipping over. It is fun for all ages, and nobody can stop at just one climb. The tables are rentable by the hour too, so bring your own truck if you have one.
What is RC crawling?
RC crawling is slow, technical driving with a remote-controlled truck. Instead of racing, you steer a four-wheel-drive crawler over uneven ground, and success comes down to throttle control and where you place each tire, not top speed. Crawlers use low-speed torque and flexible suspension to creep up obstacles that would stop an ordinary RC car cold, and many are detailed scale replicas of real off-road trucks.
Crawlers come in a range of sizes. A 1/10 scale truck is about 18 to 24 inches long, a 1/18 is roughly 10 to 12 inches, and a tiny 1/24 is only 5 to 7 inches, small enough that furniture becomes a mountain. The hobby has a reputation as one of the most social in radio control, because there is always someone to swap tips with, and it is easy to learn and hard to put down.

Two indoor crawler tracks
We have two RC crawler tracks. One was built by our own team, and the other is a modular terrain course that can be set up in different layouts. Both tables are designed for 1/8 scale crawlers and smaller, so most trucks you will find in the hobby fit right in.
Rent a truck or bring your own
If you do not own a crawler, no problem. Trucks are available to rent by the hour at the front desk. Just ask the team, grab a controller and start climbing.
If you already own one, bring it. We welcome all RC truck owners to drop in and run the tables, whether you are a seasoned crawler or just curious, and owners with their own trucks can rent the table by the hour. It is a great excuse to meet other people who love the hobby.
More trucks, more terrain: logs, rocks and a water crossing on our crawler tables.
RC crawler rental prices
Truck rental: $20 for 1 hour, $35 for 2 hours, or $50 for all day, plus tax.
With a day pass or membership: $15 for 1 hour, $25 for 2 hours, or $40 for all day, plus tax. If you already have a day pass or a membership, you save $5 to $10 on every rental.
Add RC crawlers to a birthday party
RC crawler rentals can be added to any birthday party at North Shore Bike Park for $99. Just ask the team at the pro shop to add it. It is a fun way to give the birthday crew something a little different to do between laps on the pump track.
