The question we hear every single day is: “When are you open?” The short answer? Soon — really soon.

After a year that’s thrown just about everything at us, we’re finally aiming to open our doors in early November. The new location is located at 13065 Katonien Street, in Maple Ridge.

90 % Complete and Grateful Every Step of the Way

We’re now about 90% of the way to the finish line and couldn’t have done it without the dozens of volunteers who’ve spent hundreds of hours helping rebuild the park. More than 500 Day passes have been traded for help disassembling, moving, reassembling and reclaiming materials from fixtures we were unable to make use of.  The amount of volunteer has been staggering.

The terrain is re-assembled, new sheeting is going down, and the operations side of the park is being upgraded to make sure everything runs safely and smoothly from day one.

City Inspections and the Final Push

Last week, the City of Maple Ridge completed its first inspection. We’re now working through their checklist to reach full occupancy approval.  That process is mostly out of our hands which is why we can’t promise a hard opening date just yet. (For context, in North Vancouver the park was ready six weeks before we were actually allowed to open!) The good news? Things are progressing well, and we don’t expect the same delay here.

What’s New Inside the Park

Our Maple Ridge location carries the same philosophy that made North Vancouver such a hit: “90% rideable by 90% of our guests.”  That means the park works for everyone; kids, parents, seniors, bikers, scooter riders, skateboarders, roller skaters and aggressive inliners alike.

Here’s a peek at what’s waiting for you:

  • Intermediate (Blue) Jump Line: The lips are a bit taller and “poppier” for confident riders, but still completely rollable for those who prefer to keep their wheels on the ground.

  • Green Jump Line: A smoother, faster version of our beginner line with slightly higher rollers to help riders and skaters pump through transitions and build speed. A berm-style mini ramp loops riders back to the starting deck; a feature BMX racers will love and creative riders will use in all sorts of ways.

  • Street Zone: Built from the ground up with skateboards and scooters in mind. Expect more rails, steps, and reconfigurable obstacles so the layout can change from time to time.

  • Foam Pit: It’s bigger, with new roll-in options for those looking to send it safely.

  • Perimeter Trail: Circles the entire terrain zone for riders after a flatter, more casual cruise.

  • New Pump Track: Designed for both speed and accessibility — great for our smallest riders but fun for everyone.

Beyond the Terrain

Birthday parties will return, though they may start a few weeks after opening.

Behind the scenes, our operations systems are getting a complete overhaul. A new management platform will handle memberships, sales, and check-ins — meaning faster entry for guests who purchase passes online or already hold memberships.

Help Us Cross the Finish Line

We’re almost there — the park is built, the terrain is taking shape, and the finish line is finally in sight. What stands between us and opening day are the last few City requirements and some essential facility upgrades that will make North Shore Bike Park Maple Ridge everything our community deserves.

To get there, we’re launching pre-orders for passes and memberships this week. Every purchase goes directly toward completing those final pieces — from safety improvements and comfort upgrades to getting our new systems online and ready for riders.

By pre-purchasing now, you’re not just buying early access; you’re helping open the doors for everyone who’s been waiting to ride, skate, or scoot indoors again. It’s your chance to be part of the story — to say you helped bring this incredible community space to life.

We’ve put everything we have into getting here. With your support through these advance pass sales, we can finish strong, open the doors, and get back to what we all love most: riding together.

Watch for the pre-sale announcement this week — and if you’re able, grab a pass, a 10-pack, or a six-month membership at a great rate (plus a free T-shirt for six-month members). Your early support will help us get it done and get rolling.

The Home Stretch

It’s been an incredibly challenging year, but we’re so close. We’ve moved an entire park, rebuilt nearly everything by hand, and stayed true to our goal of creating a family-friendly, year-round indoor riding space for Maple Ridge and beyond.

From everyone on the team, thank you for sticking with us.  We can’t wait to welcome you through the doors and hear that first set of tires (or skates) hit the floor again, this time in Maple Ridge.

Thank you.
